Breathe

Anxiety is just a warning light

Fear only what is necessary

Live in the moment

Open your eyes

Stand tall

Breathe

Anxiety is warning light on the dash board of my mind, a screaming smoke detector; let some fresh air in and it will shut off.

Fear only what is necessary and real: a forest fire not burning toast.

This moment is a gift; it’s called the present. Don’t ruminate on resentment or jack your chemistry up on tomorrow-worry.

Come to your senses: see, hear, feel, smell, taste the natural world around you. Ground yourself.

Change your posture; stand up straight, set your feet, find your backbone.  Stand like Superman and let your cape fly in the breeze.

Breathe. Our breath is controlled by both the autonomic nervous system and our conscious mind. It is a door between two frames of mind. Reset yourself: Breathe in for 4 seconds through your nose and breathe out of you r mouth for 6 seconds. Repeat as necessary.
